Our purpose is to provide a platform for introducing people to computers. We are here to facilitate your learning, and show you step by step how to make the transition into using computers to enrich and simplify your life. The enrichment comes from the powerful communication tools available, and simplifying by doing internet banking and shopping if the need arises. We will explain internet security so that when faced with situations, you are equipped to handle them safely and with peace of mind. With the various teaching options you can choose which suits you best. And because our goal is empowerment, we would tailor make modules for individuals, or groups of like-minded people.

Training options that we offer

Depending on demand, we offer 3 ways of training in one hour blocks. This gives us enough time to teach you new skills, and gives you the opportunity to put the skills into practice before moving on in the next training block.

Option 1 is lecture based. This facilitates larger crowds and will take place in the theatre. These lectures give the basic overview of the module, and no experience is acquired, but provides a better understanding of that particular module. A computer wouldn’t be necessary to attend these lectures. Each session would cost R50 per person.

Option 2 works with small groups of between 3 and 6 people. A computer would be necessary as you would work through the module in a practical way, acquiring experience. Learning is a lot more individualised. This option cost R100 per person per hour.
*The hiring of computers can be arranged at an extra cost.

Option 3 is individual training. We come to your house, sit with you and work through a module together, at your pace. This option is ideal for learning to do internet banking or for extra private tuition. These private sessions cost R250 per hour.

Modules that we offer

Each module below is covered over a number of sessions, depending on the pace at which we move, and on the skill level you would like to achieve.

1.  Computer Orientation: Basic understanding of computers and how to work with them.

2. Email (gmail): Communicate electronically on the computer with other people.

3. Skype: Make free calls with your friends and family no matter where they live in the world.

4. Google Docs:  Word processing, excel spreadsheets and power point.

5. Facebook: Keep up to date with your children and grand children.

6. Internet Browsing: Web surfing and how to use google search, Web security.

7. Picasa: Get your pictures from your camera and put them on your computer.

8. Customised: What do you want to learn about on computers? Contact us and we will tailor make you a training module.
